DIETER HAMMER

Immagine
Dieter Hammer is partner and co-founder of Hauptmann Hammer Hajek Wirtschaftsmediatoren Partnerschaftsgesellschaft, a partnership of experienced commercial mediators in Munich, Germany. He is an accredited mediator with the Mediation Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Munich and upper Bavaria and WIPO, Geneva. His scope of experience stretches from structuring complex, multi party, business conflicts to art and culture related disputes (i.e. restitution of property disputes). He studied at Sotheby´s Institute of Art, London and majored in philosophy on psychological causes of war and the question of peace-ethics at the School of Philosophy of the Jesuite Order in Munich. Next to ethics, he read communication science and psychological anthropology as side subjects. His  mediation clients profit from his experience in the practical application of normative reasoning to help solve value driven conflicts. Dieter is certified as commercial mediator with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Munich. In addition to his philosophical background Dieter has solid expertise in the valuation of high growth companies. He has represented Venture Valuation AG, Zürich in Germany since 2001. He has gained experience in solving conflicts  between investors and investees, strategy conflicts, IP disputes, pre- and post M&A situations and other conflicts that come about throughout the different life cycles of a dynamically growing company. Apart from young companies he also works in the field of succession of mid sized companies. He is speaker in international ADR congresses, as well as academic and other institutions and has written articles on Mediation for professional publications. As a journalist he wrote on politics and economics in South-East Asia and conducted interviews with political, economic and military leaders on international relations and defence. He also moderated a weekly live talk show on politics, economics and ecology for a local radio station in Munich for a term of over three years.
