Andrew Duncan Robson Colvin, Barrister (Middle Temple), practising in Rome and London. Also qualified as Avocat (Barreau de Paris), Arbitrator (Fellow, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) Mediator (registered for CONCILIA LLC. with Italian Ministry of Justice) and with an Italian law degree (Dottore, Università di Siena). British citizen, married, two adult daughters. Legal practice both in industry and in independent practice. He is co-director of Euresolve Ltd., founded by CONCILIA LLC. and other European ADR Providers in 2013. Work has been principally in Britain, France and Italy. Professional experience in civil, commercial and criminal law, arbitration and litigation, in English, French, Italian and European law. Special experience in international energy, engineering and telecommunications sectors. General advocacy practice started before English courts, tenant in the chambers formerly of Lord Hooson, Temple, London, now Goldsmith Chambers. After five years in general practice with both civil and criminal court work, there followed ten years in industry: Fluor Europe, engineers and constructors, as legal adviser, North Sea Representative and company secretary, based in London; but with assignments in North America, Europe and Africa; Monsanto Oil, oil exploration and development, based in London as legal adviser and contract manager for North Sea Operator's UK Continental Shelf drilling spread, administering and terminating charters, also prospecting for acreage elsewhere; SITA, telecommunications for the aviation industry, legal and contracts adviser based in Paris dealing with worldwide communications services and software contracts. His experience included work in N. America, Middle East, Libya and other African countries. I then returned to private practice, qualified as avocat in France, Cabinet De Pardieu, and practised in Paris until transferring to Italy, where I worked for Baker & McKenzie in Rome. Since 1992, he has been in private practice, divided between chambers in London and my own office in Italy. Frequently co-ordinating professionals of different disciplines in transnational projects and litigation, including for international organisations and governments. Work in arbitration has been as arbitrator, panel secretary and party lawyer and in mediation as mediator. Consultant to process plant manufacturers in contracts worldwide. Registered Mediator and approved tutor with the Italian Ministry of Justice. Provider of mediation training to Italian professionals for CONCILIA LLC. and teacher of contract law in Europe for EU funded ETMPJ programme in Brussels.
